k2 Dealer Services, LLC was started in June 2007 in order to assist Custom Electronic Installers, Custom Electronic Retailers, and Systems Integrators in three critical categories: System Design & Documentation; Programming Services; Consulting Services.

After owning and operating custom installation businesses for over 15 years we began to work with other dealers contracting various services like system design and engineering, project management and installation and programming services.  It became evident that while may dealers had excellent product knowledge, very talented sales people and a talented technical staff, they either did not have the time, tools, staff or knowledge to full design a system before the job was started and it was typically left up to the technician onsite to plan the installation and hope that everything would be correct when it came time to finish the project.

After further research it became obvious that dealers needed help in system design, engineering, system documentation and also help with the ever evolving complicated programming for remote control systems and advanced home control systems.

With additional time being spent meeting dalers and discussing their businesses we came to realize that ost dealers in the custom installation business were very knowledgeable in the specifics of their trade and the products of their trade but not only lacked many of the skills and knowledge to run a business, but in-fact most hated the business side of things.  Therefore we decided to take our business skills and knowledge of the industry added with all the lessons that we had learned and help dealers with the part of their business that they hated.
